Crisis

introduction: The Crisis committee is a special committee that works on real-time, ongoing international crises. In this MUN body, delegates represent certain people instead of countries and discuss unpredictable scenarios and events that will unfold throughout the conference. The committee itself is managed by a team known as the “Crisis Staff,” who introduce the crises and give constant updates to the situation and assess how the delegates respond. The delegates must think quickly to address and find a solution to the dilemmas that arise during the conference.

Topic: The Invasion of Iraq (2003-2011) was a US led invasion of Iraq for allegedly owning weapons of mass destruction, and for ending the dictatorship regime of Saddam Hussein. The war was devastating and resulted in the murder of more than one hundred thousand Iraqi civilians, and 4700 U.S. troops. In the end, the US proved unsuccessful in proving the existence of WMD but hanged Saddam Hussein and established a democratic rule in Iraq.
